Kinder graduation

Who would have thought this year would be such a roller coaster. Last July I dropped him off at one elementary school and last week I was watching him graduate in a completely different school. I still have my worries about the switch, but for now we will keep him at the school he is at.

Preston has had some struggles. I have had some struggles. They are not all figured out yet , but we are now on a road to finding out how to best help him. I never thought that a year of kindergarten could be so emotionally and physically draining for both mom and child. This was a year full of power struggles and homework disputes. Tears in principals offices and tears on my knees pleading to find some answers. We still do not have the answers and I am really hoping that we will get some soon.

Preston was very excited for summer to come.  He is tired of writing he says, and needs to rest his tired arm.  His graduation was extremely cute.  Preston marched out in his little sport coat (which had caused some earlier commotion) and had his silly hat halfway scrunching his eyes through most of the program.  Matt and I kept trying to get his attention to pull it up but he thought we were telling him to pat his head so he kept patting his head.  Near the end of the program when each kids was receiving his / her certificate Preston was so nice and would try and clap for each person. With full hands he would try and hold his certificate and clap. That's my sweet Preston that I love.

Oh, how I love that sweet Preston. Give him big squeezes from Grandma. And your pictures are wonderful, as always. Hang in there, mama - you are doing an amazing job. Preston couldn't possibly have a better mother!
