Christmas

It has taken forever to finally post some Christmas pictures but I have finally taken the time to do it. I am sad because at my mom's house we didn't get pictures of Preston opening his present's with grandma because she had to take my dad to the hospital because of a snow blower accident. My dad is fine now.

The video is after he opened his present, well I opened it, while Preston was just staring at the video camera.

It was fun to have Preston's first Christmas although he didn't really know what was going on and was not all that excited. But he loves all his toys that he received.

My mom and dad gave him a truck set that is so cute. His favorites are the stop sign. Probably because it fits into his mouth. He loves his Caterpillar Edison and for some reason thinks it should be able to move with him. When he rolls and then looks to see where Edison is he looks amazed that he did not roll to, so he scoots back to him and pulls him with him wherever he goes.

He got a 4 wheeler from Matt's parents which has to be hidden sometimes because he wants to be pushed all over the house and my back can't take anymore. I think he may just give up on crawling and just be pushed everywhere.

Mik, Preston's cousin, gave him a tool set and he loves to bite the hammer and chew on the handle of the tool box. He is not quit big enough to pound the shapes into the holes. Pretty soon though.

Oh I can't forget the plaid shirt he received from Dave and Kathleen too. He looks just like his papa, on both sides of the family oddly enough.

Family Pictures

Matt's really good friend John was in town over Thanksgiving and his wife Jessica was nice enough to take some family pictures for us. She does an amazing job. When Matt and I first sat down to pick out our favorites we could hardly eliminate any they were all so cute. Preston's Tympanostomy Bilateral Surgery...

(tim-pan-AW-stah-me) The nurse showed us a paper telling us the surgery that Preston was going to be having and that is what she showed us. Matt looks at it asking, "does that mean tubes?" Yes is does. It's quite the name for saying tubes in both ears. Preston had to get tubes because he has had a constant ear infection since he was 4 months old. By the 5th infection the doctors and I had enough. Preston was a trooper. He screamed the whole ride to the hospital which was hard for Matt and I because it was 5 in the morning and you cannot give him a bottle. I sat in the back seat with him and his face was so sad every cry he let out. Once we got to Primary Children's he was fine. He played with the toys, people, and bubbles and didn't even know what was coming. Matt and I were sad to give him the the anethesiologist who was taking him back to the surgery room and as he walked off with Preston we watched him go down the hall and Preston didn't care a bit. He just gave the usual "Preston Look" and he was off.

Preston has been such a good boy since the surgery. He did so well Friday and yesterday we celebrated with banana splits allowing Preston to have a nice dose of Ice Cream as a treat.
