For a little weekend getaway we went to Dallas for a break, and to get away from the Arctic tundra. On our list of things to do.... eat cupcakes of course. Dallas is now home to 2 very famous cupcake shops that I have been wanting to try. You may have heard of these little wonders but let me give you a full review. First let me mention that while visiting New York City in October we tried Magnolia's Cupcakes, very famous also. Now we have conquered Sprinkles Cupcakes and The Cupcakery. Sorry to say Magnolia's I honestly think came out of a Betty Crocker box and same with the frosting. Sprinkles cupcakes, lets just say the line that we waited in was far more worth it than the line we waited in for Magnolia's. But I must say The Cupcakery won me over. They had unique flavors and out of the 3 that I tried I would have to say I crave their Strawberry and Cream cupcake the most. It was so yummy. Sprinkles is my second choice. Very delicious and so adorable to look at. Now for more about our trip.

We went to the Dallas World Aquarium, where Preston fed a Toucan...3 times. After that we rode the little Dallas Trolley around the town, here Preston practiced his skills as conductor -honking the horn and greeting those entering the trolley. Then we went to the zoo to look at more animals. We then filled our tummies with some yummy BBQ. Another stop we made but they did not allow any pictures and you could not get a picture close enough of the building was the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. We toured the BEP as they call it and watched how they make money. I must say I started to lust after the sheets of 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's, 50's, and 100's, as they were just sitting there stacked piled high like regular sheets of paper.
