A boy and his teddy

I love when I look behind me and see a little one trailing behind with a teddy that is as big as him.

The first time we noticed that Porter loved stuffed animals was on a trip to Cabella's. He would start laughing every time I walked past an animal. His body would shake with excitement and his whole face would turn into a smile. And so, the boy and his teddy were united.

I just had to add this picture.  I am pretty sure he is a little annoyed that Mom is snapping pictures while he is snuggling with his teddy.  He probably realizes that these pictures will come back to haunt him in his teen years.

The excitement for a stuffed animal still has not worn off as he carries two bears around the house giggling with joy as he walks around the house with them. Excited everyday when he randomly finds a stuffed animal and then carries it, chews on it, and occasionally tries to give them a bath in the toilet.

Happy love day!

This year we woke up to Daddy baking a delicious coffee cake for his Valentines.  The cake was delicious and the boys were very excited about their valentines.

 We continued the tradition of balloons and little love notes. I love Preston's reaction when he comes home and finds balloons on his bed. And I really love watching his face light up as I read each thing that I love about him.

This year 4 things I love about my presto are:
1. I love his silly super hero fetish
2. I love how on walks he picks every flower he can find and gives them to and says "because Me love you mom!"
3. I love when we laugh and talk together right before bedtime
4. I love that you are a good helper to your brother.

And for my little porter, who thinks his one balloon is so awesome and could possibly be a tasty treat.
1. I love when you smile because your whole face turns into a huge grin!

Preston had a Valentine Party at school and has spent the last day taping up every valentine on his wall to make his room "AWESOME".

We finished the night with a date night in with the kids.  I had planned dinner for a while but after Matt made an awesome breakfast I had to fight for my reputation and sorta did a menu re-write. I made Lobster with homemade fettuccine Alfredo and Baked shrimp scampi.  And my favorite, copy cat Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory Apple Pie Caramel Apples.  I think I one upped him and showed him who was supreme ruler in the kitchen.
