Matt and Amy: March 2011

We started the big day by going to the pool for a swim. Preston loves to swim and he almost made his 3rd birthday his last by being his typical crazy self and jumping into the deep end without me there. I was able to extend his life but I don't know how many more chances this little boy will get. We played at the pool for a while and then we picked up Matt to go get Preston's favorite thing in the whole world McDonald's chicken nuggets.
We came home and he talked to my parents via skype and the tired birthday boy fell asleep while I finished his choo choo cake. When he woke up I was so excited to show him his cake. He had been looking at it in the fridge every chance he got in the morning but now it actually looked like a train. His reaction was priceless, he was so excited and that was my favorite moment that whole day. When Matt came home I guess you could say the real celebrating started because off to Chuck e Cheeses we went. Preston loved it! After a night full of ticket winning Preston came home talked to his Em'ma and Pia Field and opened his presents and ate his cake. What a day for a 3 year old.

26 pounds 3 feet tall

Favorite thing to do: ride his "vrooma" (loves that Matt turned up the speed, and tries to find jumps to take it off of. Also, loves to turn so fast that the back tire skids.) He also loves shoveling in the snow or dirt (even in warm weather he thinks he has to wear his snow hat and mittens) swimming, looking for woo-a's (police, ambulance, and firetrucks) playing with trains and watching Chuggington on T.V.

Words: Calls me "mama mia", or just mia. Calls Matt "mouska-dad", himself "mouska-me" Grandma Field is Em'ma Grandma Farnsworth is "me-ma" Papa is "pia" or sometimes "mouska-papa-pia". Still thinks juice is pronounced Horse. Instead of answering yes he says, "yup". And the most recent, "my Noah" he has a friend Noah and that is all he talks about. My favorite word is little. He squints his eyes and puts his fingers in front of his eye like he is holding something really small and then in a high pitched voice says, "little".

Favorite foods: McDonald's chicken nuggets - he will starve himself all week until he can eat some.

Loves to snuggle with mom and suck his thumb while putting my hair in his ear. (sounds odd, but it is very cute)
