February

February seems sooo long ago even though it's only the first week of March.  Peston ran in another running the race and he took fifth again. I am not convinced he likes running, but he does like to get the ribbons afterwards. The biggest thing that happened in February was the big school switch. I was a nervous wreck and I finally decided to change his school and I switched it to a very intense program that has scared me but I have seen progress and it makes me so happy. I met with his teacher about his transition and obviously there is a lot of work to do, but they have been so helpful and so positive through the whole experience, I am really hoping that this will be a good fit.

This year Matt and I decided to spend out Valentines Day with the boy's.  I prepared a nice, elegant meal, complete with heart shaped potatoes! The boys were most excited to eat with the fancy dishes and even had champagne glasses!!!  And they did awesome!  Preston had the task to decorate a box for his school Valentine's Day Party.  I was thinking hearts and some simple things.  Matt got involved in the brainstorming event and all of a sudden the simple box turned into the Batmobile!  It came out pretty awesome thanks to some pinterest searching.  He was so proud of that thing, you should have seen  him carrying it to his class like he was "The Man".
I found a picture of these cookies a few months ago and I was counting down the days until I had a good reason to make them. Porter asks me just about everyday if we can make cookies so as soon as February came we were ready to make these adorable things. Porter was mostly my taster, be he likes to help roll out the dough and throw lots of flour everywhere. We managed and they came out so cute!

I took preston to lego fest at the Cardinals stadium. He was so excited his face never stopped beaming. We raced in a pizza making relay, we built all sorts of Legos and dove into piles of Legos. He was in awe over everything he saw, and so was I! But, now he wants me to build all sorts of crazy stuff.
