The rain has made everything very wet so a lot of little egg hunts were cancelled. But, some friends hosted an awesome Easter Hunt and the kids enjoyed themselves, and Matt and I enjoyed not having to fight with crowds. During this Egg Hunt Matt and I found that Porter has candy addiction problems. Once he discovered what was actually in the eggs that he was supposed to be picking up he just went right into opening the egg and throwing the egg while devouring the candy (wrapper and all) as quickly as possible. Needless to say, a mean old mother has thrown out all the candy that they received because he goes crazy for it.
Preston has become quite knowledgeable about the meaning of Easter. I was really impressed about how much he remembered about Christ's sacrifice and all that he went through for us and why. It makes me happy as a mom to see his knowledge for the gospel grow. However, he now asks after we pass every cemetery if anyone in their died on a cross too. (that's the preschool teachings coming forth I think)
And now that it is after Easter I have the most wonderful peach tree in my backyard that decided it was finally time to show off. And show off it has.
