Preston is 5!!

He is 5! I still can't believe it. I still feel like he is my little boy Preston and at times he is, but according to Preston he "is a big 5 year old and now knows everything!" Can you believe it or did you not know that once you turn 5 you become all knowing! Wow!

Birthday celebrations started a day early with a trip to his favorite ice cream place. It's a frozen yogurt place that he calls the decorating place. Loves it!

Preston woke up to #5 pancakes and the letter P shaped pancakes, which he thought was pretty awesome. He opened his presents and was thrilled about all of it. We went and got lunch with daddy and later that night we had his special birthday dinner which he chose crunchy tacos and French fries. The boy ate 2 tacos. That is a record! And the part Preston was looking forward to for months.  Riding the go karts.  Matt took him after dinner to the go kart place and they enjoyed a few laps around the track.

And now for the cake. Well lets just say it was supposed to look different. I was planning on green frosting because for the past month he has reminded me that he wanted green frosting. So I frosted it green. When I showed it to Preston he collapsed on the ground crying and said he wanted a blue cake!?? Ahhhhh! How could I have done such an awful thing to this perfectly reasonable 5 year old? With very little time to make new frosting, I attempted to make green frosting blue. And refrost the cake. This is why green is showing through and the cake looks a tad sloppy. Oh well, he was happy with the color and the cake in the end.


And now for the super hero bash! Full of superhero training, and lots of crazy fun! The cupcakes were my personal fave and I think the little rug rats enjoyed themselves!
