We moved to Phoenix on May 30, 2014. We sold our house in Arkansas in a short 5 days and then had the whirlwind of movers, last day of preschool, ear infections, goodbye parties, house closings, and new car shopping. I don't know why we added that last one in that list but yes we decided to get rid of the jumbo pathfinder and get something a little bit smaller. We made it to phoenix but our moving truck was still a week away. Ugh! We were lucky enough to have family to take us in for a week.
First we flew to Arizona for a "pre-move" trip. Matt had to change his plans and headed to New York for his Grandpa's funural. Unfortunetaly, the boys and I were unable change our flight plans and we made the trip to Phoenix without matt for a while. Besides some little things, like fighting over who pulled the suitcase and insisting on taking every walking sidewalk, the boys and I made it to Phoenix without too much difficulty. After 3 days of searching, we did not find anything that felt like home, so we finally decided that renting was a little more appealing and we have felt good about that decision ever since. We also were in town for my niece's birthday party and had fun celebrating with her. Porter mostly enjoyed the blue cupcake.
The trip home was supposed to be a lot easier with Matt helping, but instead we were stuck in Houston for 3 days. I think the boys enjoyed it. They ate Panda Express, took rides on the monorail, and ran around like crazy little boys. Matt and I both were exhausted and tired and just wanted to get back home.

During the week of the move Preston finished/graduated from Preschool and celebrated with a little graduation and then ended the festivities with the best song ever "tootie-tot" with his dad. Matt gave it his all and we were all enjoying the show. We said our good-bye's to Ms. Karen, who in my opinion is the BEST preschool teacher EVER!! I begged her to go back to kindergarten teaching to follow Preston into Kindergarten (she said no) and we ended up moving. I am nervous to send Preston to a new place and can only hope that he gets an amazing teacher for his kindergarten days.

We are already enjoying being close to family. We have attended cousin swim meets, played at the splash pad and had many shopping trips together. Being close to family is so fabulous. We were sad to say good bye to some very dear friends. Arkansas was so good to us and I still believe that the people in Bentonville Arkansas are the nicest, most friendly people in the entire world. We loved it there. But are ready for a new adventure.
