Las Vegas Supercross

As promised here are some pictures from the Las Vegas Supercross. It was an interesting day. Jake and Matt let Nicole and I have some "Girl time" so we went to the outlets and looked around. After that we headed to the stadium to go to the pits - 6 hours before the race was going to start- but Matt didn't get to enjoy them like he usually does. After covering ourselves in Baby sunscreen SPF 50 and all 4 of us covering Preston in sunscreen and putting Preston's hat on we headed for the pits. It was a warm day but not really hot but Preston was turning bright red within minutes of getting out of the car and having the sunscreen on. We walked around the pits for about 45 minutes and the whole time people were pointing and staring and saying things like "oh that poor baby is so sunburned" "oh look at that poor little baby" "you need to get him out of the sun" "you need to put some sunscreen on him" I even had two people come up to me and offer sunscreen because they thought Preston was so sunburned and I, a terrible mother, would continue to walk around allowing him to boil like a lobster. I have never had so much attention drawn my way. It was horrifying. All the whispering and pointing was so aggravating. I tried to tell people that Preston just turns red when he gets hot, because he does. I would see their heads shake in disapproval as I would tell them this. After 45 minutes of this I told Matt I was leaving. Matt and I took Preston to the Ceasar's Palace Forum and walked around the shops and Preston went back to his normal color. Rest assured not even the slightest burn.

We went back for the race which was fun. It was pretty exciting with how close the points were between some of the riders. We had great seats too thanks to some friends of ours. We sat 9 rows up from the track. Usually we are 2 rows back from being at the very top of the stadium. We had riders going past us in the stands for the opening ceremony Matt was loving every minute of it. Preston was really good for the whole race too. He created more attention to himself but for better reasons. He was doing his motorcycle move that he does when he saw a motorcycle go past and the people around us thought it was so funny. He was also flirting with the girls behind us and I think he thought the guy's beer bottle behind us was a cool looking bottle. And we all know how much Preston likes his bottles.
