I sometimes wonder if I am not the best person to be in Primary. I have a hard time being nice to the children that I don't like. I had the same difficulty when I was in Nursery. You know the ones I am talking about. The ones who stagger in plop down in the chairs resting their feet on the chair in front of them, arms folded (not in a reverent way) with the facial expression similar to an evil villain in the movies right before he/she does the wha ha ha laugh. Then in a loud yet mumbling voice say "Are we done yet?" It's a good thing I don't have a conductor's wand or I would....
I seem to pick my favorites and I pick on them to do everything. In my mind they have little glowing halo's above their sweet little heads. They are well behaved and so wonderful and love to participate. Oh the sweet children. I am admitting to my sin right now...I pick favorites and I can be heartless to those who don't pay attention, which is mostly the senior Primary.
For instance one of my favorites is the sweet little five year old, Emily, who sits so still on her chair with her eyes glued on you, watching every move you make and trying to remember every word you say by silently repeating the words you say. (her mouth moves as you talk) Emily raises her hand to every question and when chaos breaks loose you can count on her to be sitting in her chair, as kids run all around her, with her eyes glued to the person who is talking. It's amazing! When I am leading the music I bust up laughing when I look at her because it is so funny to watch. On Sunday she proved just how smart she is during sharing time. The lesson was on how you have to be baptized in order to get into the Kingdom of God, at the end of the lesson the teacher asked "So what do we need to be in order to enter the Kingdom of God" this sweet little girl jumps up in her chair arm pointed to the sky and shouts "DEAD". HA! She is a smart one.

Amy, that is so funny! Sounds kind of like Matt and his scouts :-)
